Shopify Metafields

The Shopify platform allows all sort of metafields now. However, you can use third-party apps as well.

Metafield Apps

Koongo supports default Shopify metafilelds and the folllowing apps:

Koongo Metafields - Import

When you defined a new metafield attribute in one of the apps above, please follow the steps below to enable the metafield attribute import to your Koongo account.

Store settings

Click the Store Settings button within the left menu to enable the Import of Metafields

Import products

From your Koongo account & Product section, click the Update icon to perform a full product update and get any existing metafield values imported into Koongo.

Metafields Editor Manual

The manual describes how to add a new meta field to Koongo using the free Metafields Editor app. The process is similar for paid apps, you can just use the CSV file import.

The example shows how to add the "NOK price" attribute.

Select app

Go to your Shopify store, click “Apps” and “Metafields editor” https://apps.shopify.com/metafields-editor

Select a product

Select a product to which you want to add the NOK price

Add new metafield

Click “Add New Metafield”

Fill in metafield values

Fill Namespace “global”, key “NOK price”, Value type “string” and value (fill price with 2 decimals e.g. 1949.00) Click “Add”. The NOK price is now defined.

Store settings

Click the Store Settings button within the left menu to enable the Import of Metafields

Import products

After you filled all the NOK prices in Metafields editor go to your Koongo account and import the product using the Update products button. The new metafield values will be then imported into your Koongo account.
