How do I connect my Prestashop store?

Note: The HTTP basic authentication has to be turned off for Koongo API integration.

The REST API cannot connect a webshop with active HTTP basic authentication.

Koongo supports integration for Prestashop version 1.7. and newer. Older Prestashop versions might not be working smoothly.​

1. Generate an API key for Koongo

Log into your Prestashop store and create an API key for Koongo

1.1 Go to Webservices

Go to Advanced Parameters→Webservices

1.2 Add new webservice key

In the Configuration tab, set Enable PrestaShop's webservice to Yes. Click Add new webservice key button.

1.3 Generate a new API key

Click Generate button and generate an API key for Koongo. Copy the API key, you need to put it in your Koongo account. You can fill in the Key description - e.g. Koongo. Select the Permissions - you can select all permissions or you can use just the minimal permissions as listed in the Minimal permissions.xls. In case there are more Prestashop stores available, select a specific and Click Save button.

2. Connect Prestashop

2.1. Connect store

Select the Prestashop platform, fill in the store URL & API key and click the "Add Store" button.

If you encounter a 302 redirection error, check the domain URL format added in Edit store - "www" Vs "non-www" domain version.

2.2. Different language stores

If there are more store languages, you can select the specific language store wthin Koongo.

4. Define the Default Payment Method

Go to Edit store and define the Default payment method code parameter value.
